There was a lot of turmoil with the Eagles

Many reasons for Meisner to quit, including being pressured by Frey and Henley for a number of things, including some bullying over his fear of singing "Take It to the Limit" live and anxiety he developed over live performances. Those two also drove Don Felder out over royalties, money, and politics.

Randy probably doesn't get the credit for so many contributions he made the band and their sound. I think his life turned for the better when he left the band.
